New Doppler: 12th of April

Tuesday 12th of April 2011: 246 days of pregnancy / 34 days left (week 36)

New ultraosund (Doppler, more detailed scan) today to check the supposed intestine problem. No change and still inside the margin so it was a false alarm, great relief!! There are a million things to be nervous about and this was yet another thing on the list...

Today grandma Loli came along as well.

The baby had turned around again and is in position. We think she changes position a couple of times per week though, she is unruly and almost never keeps still. Mummy is happy about this though because she becomes nervous when the baby is NOT moving.

Still growing a lot! Weight today: some 2.9 kg; up 550 grams in just 12 days! Her legs are almost 3 weeks ahead of time. This girl is going to be taaaaaaall!!

Eva meet the anesthesiologist for some anesthetic tests. Everything 110% OK, no problem with the blood pressure which I was nervous about. Eva is as sound as a bell!!

Next appointment: 20th of April with Elisa. Then it will be only 27 days left...

Saturday 2nd of April-Sunday 3rd of April: 237 days of pregnancy / 43 days left

Who is pushing the cart? / Quién lleva el carrito?

Saturday 2nd of April / Sábado 2 de abril

Today we were in the city center and we made a small investigation: Who is pushing the cart? He or she? We counted the couples that passed by with a cart to see who is pushing the cart. Only couples with a baby in the cart, no single mums are dads and no empty carts.

Out of 20 couples, 14 women were pushing the cart and only 6 men. Curious..

Hoy estuvimos en el centro de Sevilla y hicimos una pequeña investigación. Quién lleva el carrito de bebé? Sólo contamos parejas, no madres/padres solteros y no contamos carros vacios. De 20 parejas, 14 mujeres llevaba el carrito y sólo 6 hombres. El macho ibérico no lleva el carro?

Doppler ultrasound: 31st of March 2011

Thursday 31st of March 2011: 234 days of pregnancy / 46 days left

New ultraosund (Doppler, more detailed scan) today to check some things that Elisa (our gynaecologist) could not see with the normal ultrasound. The baby seems to have the intestine a little bit too swollen but it´s inside the margin so we should not be too worried. New check within 2 weeks to see how things develope. Apart from that everything OK and today the baby the head up and the bottom down. Eventhough she is so big now, she is moving around a lot! Weight today: some 2.35 kg.

Next appointment: 12th of April for a new Doppler and also to meet the anesthesiologist for some anesthetic tests.
