Failed attempt...

This post should have been written in September 2012 ... It has been very hard to come to terms with the things that happened ....

FAILED IVF TREATMENT

September 2012

We had some 6-7 frozen embryons from the first IVF treatment in 2010. In September 2012 it was time to make Another try with these embryons.

I had quit my in-house job in Málaga and my mother had come down all the way from Sweden to take care of Amelia during the first weeks.

During that day, 12 couples had their embryons "defrosted". 11 couples were lucky, their embryons survived the process. Unfortunately, that single unlucky couple were us: not a single of our embryons survived the complicated process.

Life certainly can be very unfair at times. We were so lucky to have our Amelia at the first attempt in 2010. This time we were at the losing end.

It was a big blow, so big that I haven´t been able to accept it / write about it until today, 7th of September 2018. It has been 6 long years, in the sense that we really wanted to have more kids. Extremely happy with our Amelia of course but still, both we and her are longing for a sibling.
